Cocktail-hour elegance and a big sax surprise

Emily and Elliot’s intimate wedding at Castle Green Hotel in Kendal called for gentle, jazz-inspired cocktail music. A Careless Whisper wedding breakfast entrance then changed the mood, with guests cheering and waving their napkins. It is a lovely reminder that a quieter wedding can still have a brilliantly playful moment.

At Eden Barn near Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria, Mollie and Ben wanted a very different surprise. Around a minute into You to Me Are Everything, Spencer made his sax entrance and guests cheered. Working alongside Jamie at LA Events, the evening sets brought the energy to a packed dance floor. MEET SPENCER

Musicianship, with a personal touch.

Spencer has around 17 years of professional experience and performs at more than 100 weddings a year. He holds a first-class degree and a Master’s with Distinction in saxophone performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. His approach is to read the room: give guests a relaxed soundtrack when they want to talk, then invite them into the performance when it is time to celebrate.

Planning your wedding music

Can the drinks reception sax be outdoors?

Spencer has a battery-powered sound option for outdoor sets. Agree the location with the venue in advance and have an indoor alternative available if the weather changes. The final setup is planned around your space and timings.

Can the sax be a surprise for our guests?

Yes. Spencer can coordinate an entrance with your DJ and venue, including during the first dance or as the evening party begins. Agree the song, cue and timings beforehand so the surprise feels natural.

How do we check availability and the total price?

Send your wedding date, venue, preferred package and any timings you already know. Spencer will check availability and confirm the performance plan and any travel costs in your quote.
