Davy & Liv
A Fireball entrance and Ibiza sax at Horton Grange
Horton Grange · North East England
Davy and Liv’s wedding at Horton Grange was one of those nights where the dance floor barely had a moment to breathe. Around 140 guests, a surprise entrance with a trolley of Fireball shots, and Ibiza favourites on live sax: this North East wedding went straight into party mode.
I was booked for their sax and DJ package, with Chris Smith Wedding DJ on the decks and me bringing the live sax. From the entrance through to the evening sets, the guests were completely up for it.

A surprise wedding entrance to Fireball
Davy and Liv had something brilliant planned for their entrance. They walked through the crowd with a huge trolley of Fireball shots for their guests. When they reached the middle, I joined in on sax to Pitbull’s “Fireball”. It turned the entrance into a shared celebration, with everyone gathered around the couple.
From that moment we went into their first dance, followed by my first set of Ibiza bangers. It was such a fun way to connect the entrance, the first dance and the start of the party.
Guess the first-dance song
There was another personal touch for the guests: a competition to guess the correct first-dance song. Josh got it right and won bar vouchers. Little details like that make the evening feel so much more like the couple, and give everyone something to join in with.

Ibiza sax with Chris Smith Wedding DJ
Chris is an established North East wedding DJ and was brilliant to work alongside. With him looking after the DJ music, I could get among the guests and bring the live, interactive sax to the party.
That first Ibiza set was absolutely wild. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a dance floor quite like it: the room was rammed, and every time I came back on sax the guests kept that same energy going. This is the part of wedding sax I love most—playing right in the crowd, with everyone part of the performance.

A wedding full of personal moments
Liv’s mum told me the saxophone was her favourite instrument, and she stayed close to the music throughout my sets. Alongside the big dance-floor moments, those conversations and reactions are what make a wedding stay with you.
It was lovely working with the wedding team, including Leopard Prints Photography and the videographers. I can’t wait to see the professional photographs. The images here are snapshots from the celebration; the professional gallery is still to come.

Thank you, Davy and Liv, for a fantastic night at Horton Grange. From that Fireball entrance to the packed Ibiza sax sets, it was an incredible celebration to be part of.
