From cocktail-bar reveal to evening sax at Bashall Barn
Bashall Barn · near Clitheroe
David and Amy’s wedding at Bashall Barn, near Clitheroe, started my part of the celebrations with a memorable reveal.
As the wedding breakfast finished, the doors opened to unveil the venue’s elegant, modern cocktail bar. David and Amy were pouring champagne, and I was beside them on a performance podium, playing my Afrobeats version of “Baker Street”.
The cheering started straight away.
That cocktail set became the soundtrack to a new chapter of the day: champagne being poured, evening guests arriving and everyone discovering the space together. It was a lovely way to bring live music into the transition between the wedding breakfast and the evening party.
Later, I joined DJ Jon Kane from DFC for the evening sax sets. Jon kept the music energetic, David and Amy were loving it, and the dance floor was packed.
The couple had helped shape the evening’s song choices, and I was able to include almost everything they had requested. That personal input gave us a set full of music that meant something to them.
